UMUT VICDAN

 

Umut begins the piano in Ankara (Turkey) in private lessons with Kamuraan Gundemir then Mehmet Okansar. He joined the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 2010, in the class of Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, then Eliane Reyes. Between 2005 and 2015, he participated in masterclasses of Aquiles Delle Vigne in Austria and Italy, and Diane Andersen, Alan Weiss, Hugues Leclere and Henri Barda in Belgium. Umut has a particular interest in chamber music, thanks to which he earned a triple selection, with groups from various bands, at the Musiq'3 Festival in June 2014 and 2015. He also obtained a certificate in electronic music production following his training at the SAE Institute (Brussels) in 2014-2015. He finished his master in music with a grand distinction allowing him to win 2 special prizes given by Brussels Conservatory to distinguished students. He won various prizes with his trio called "Trio Oscillations". 

 

Then, he pursued his studies in cultural management at the ULB and he worked as an intern at Brussels Philharmonic in production deparment. This experience allowed him to work at the Verbier Festival in 2017-2018 and 2019. He has worked as an assistant / accompanist at ISB (International School of Brussels) and is regularly invited to teach songwriting and music production. Currently, he continues his career in music and teaching while having created his brand UVMUSIC and is the founder / manager of Pianist's Corner.

 

 

Thanks to his diverse educational background including conservatory music training, music production and cultural management, he decided to create a brand through which he could demonstrate his various skills. Umut is a freelancer and collaborates with so many other professionals and organisations to deliver good quality work in various domains.
