SABINE WEYER
was born in 1988 in Luxembourg. She started to play the piano at age 7 at the Conservatory of her hometown, where she received the « Diplôme Supérieur » in 2007.
From 2007 to 2013 she studied at the « Koninklijk Conservatorium » in Brussels in the class of Alexandar Madzar; in 2013 she graduated with distinction.
Sabine is regularly performing concerts around the globe, mostly since the huge success of her 4 CDs: Debussy-Rameau on Paladino label, Bach-Mendelssohn, « Bach to the future » and « A light in the dark » on Ars Produktion. The last CD won the Pasticcio Prize from the Austrian radio ORF and was nominated for the Opus Klassik Award in Germany this year.
Sabine won the first prize in the « Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition » in London and played for the prize ceremony at the wellknown Royal Albert Hall.
Since September 2015 the pianist is also professor for piano at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. In addition to that, she is often invited to teach at masterclasses throughout the world, as for example at Beijing Normal University (China) in October 2016.
